Tasting Notes

AI-generated sensory profile for Kamenická 12 tmavá

◎ Appearance

Deep brown to black in color, with a dense tan head that clings to the glass. The unfiltered, unpasteurized character creates a naturally hazy appearance—cloudy through the body with suspended yeast that catches the light. Carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, lending a gentle liveliness without aggression.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with roasted grain and dark malt—earthy undertones of cocoa and burnt toast. Secondary waves of caramel sweetness emerge, joined by subtle dark-fruit notes reminiscent of raisins and plum. The Sládek and Premiant hops provide a restrained herbal backdrop that does not dominate the malt-forward profile.

◐ Taste

Entry is smooth and full, with roasted malt and caramel sweetness settling across the palate immediately. Mid-palate exhibits a gentle bitterness (30 IBU) that balances rather than asserts, allowing the malty body to persist. The dark fruit character—plum and raisin notes—integrates cleanly with a mineral dryness from the Czech water and unfiltered nature.

◑ Finish

Medium finish with a lingering warmth and residual caramel-malt dryness. The roasted character fades gracefully into a subtle astringency from the yeast, leaving the palate refreshed rather than heavy.
