Outnumbered by Animals presents a clear, burnished golden amber beneath a bright white head that displays excellent retention and characteristic Southern Californian crispness. The carbonation is vibrant and well-integrated, creating fine bubbles that sustain the foam collar throughout the drinking experience. The clarity is exceptional, allowing the warm amber hue to shine with luminous intensity.

◌ Aroma

The nose erupts with classic West Coast hop character: resinous pine, sun-dried citrus peel, and a bright tropical stone fruit note that cuts through with assertive presence. Herbal and dank undertones add depth and complexity, suggesting careful hop selection and timing. The malt foundation remains restrained and clean, refusing to compete with the hop-driven expression.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with a firm, well-defined malt backbone that provides structure without sweetness, immediately giving way to assertive but refined bitterness. Grapefruit zest, fresh pine needles, and herbal dankness layer across the mid-palate, creating complexity and balance. The bitterness is pronounced yet balanced, never harsh, and lingers pleasantly through the swallow.

The finish is long, dry, and satisfyingly bitter, with lingering resin and citrus oils that fade gradually over several minutes. The aftertaste remains clean and hoppy, with no lingering sweetness or astringency.
