Zoo Feeder pours a hazy copper-amber, with suspended yeast and hop particulate creating a soft, cloudy matrix. The head is dense and persistent, clinging to the glass with fine lacing as carbonation steadily rises through the body. The opacity is characteristic of the style, neither murky nor opaque, but invitingly translucent at the edges.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with assertive pine and bright citrus notes, the hallmark of the American hop blend, layered over a warm, biscuity maltiness. Beneath the hop-forward character, toffee and caramel emerge softly, grounding the aroma in a creamy, toasted grain foundation. Herbal undertones and a dry, resinous quality suggest a measured bitterness already present on the nose.

◐ Taste

The palate enters clean and bitter, with piney hop character dominating the front. Mid-palate reveals a fuller, creamy malt body with caramel sweetness that provides structure without cloying—a balance achieved through the English-style base and generous American malt bill. Herbal bitterness and citrus notes persist through the middle, drying the finish progressively.

The finish is pronounced and drying, with hop bitterness fading slowly to leave a clean, mineral-like aftertaste. The lingering hop character and subtle malt sweetness create a balanced conclusion that invites the next sip.

Serve well-chilled. Session IPAs are at their best cold — the lower ABV means less warmth to balance the hops.
