100 Oyster Stout

Tap to rate

A very dark stout with an off-white head, brewed with plenty of oats and with Irish oysters, shells and flesh, added to the boil. It is slightly sweet and full-bodied, with big chocolate and roast notes and a delicate minerality; Goldings and Cascade provide the hops. The oysters make it the only beer in the range that is not vegan. Gold at Champion Beer of London 2023, silver among the stouts at Champion Winter Beer of Britain 2017.

◐ Taste

Entry is smooth and slightly sweet, with chocolate and roast malts providing body and structure. The oats lend a creamy, full mouthfeel that carries through the mid-palate. Bitterness remains restrained at 40 IBU, allowing the oyster's delicate salinity to emerge as a balancing counterpoint to the malt sweetness.
