◎ Appearance

LBC IPA presents a clear, burnished amber hue that catches light with warm translucence. A bright white head builds with initial pour and clings to the glass with persistent lacy retention, leaving well-defined rings of foam with each sip. Carbonation appears lively and well-integrated throughout.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with vibrant citrus character — ripe grapefruit and tangerine zest dominate, supported by a whisper of tropical mango. Beneath the fruit sits a pronounced resinous pine backbone, clean and herbal, with no oxidative or vinous notes. The overall impression is sun-baked, aromatic, and unapologetically hop-forward without any cloying sweetness.

◐ Taste

A firm, measured bitterness takes command on entry, anchored by a crisp and moderately dry malt foundation that remains austere and well-composed. Mid-palate develops the resinous, piney character suggested in the aroma, with lingering citrus notes adding texture without muddying the dry profile. The hop bitterness is pronounced but not harsh, expressing the West Coast IPA idiom with clarity and restraint.

◑ Finish

The finish extends long and bracingly dry, leaving a satisfying resinous tang on the palate that encourages another sip. No sweetness lingers; the bitterness holds with composure through the aftertaste.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
