Kirin Classic Lager
Kirin Classic Lager, on sale since July 2001, recreates the Kirin beer of the late 1960s and early 1970s and, unlike the current Kirin Lager Beer, is still heat-treated after packaging. At 4.5% it carries a little less alcohol than its sibling, yet tasters describe a fuller body and a smoother texture. The aroma shows floral hops with a mellow, aged note. On the palate a clear malt sweetness meets a heavy, lingering bitterness that stays longer than in the unpasteurised lager, and the finish is dry and firm.
