HooDoo Belgian Witbier
Orange and a subtle citrus aroma and flavor from cracked coriander and bitter orange peel steeped at the end of the boil, with Belgian yeast character. Barley, wheat and oats make for a light body. 4.5% ABV, 14 IBU. The style all but died out in the 1950s before it was revived. Poured in the Biergarten, or to go in kegs and growlers.
Tasting Notes
AI-generated sensory profile for HooDoo Belgian Witbier
Serve cold to preserve the delicate citrus and spice aromas. Too warm and the yeast esters become heavy — too cold and the coriander disappears.
The tall, slender wheat beer glass holds the full 50cl pour and shows off the hazy golden colour. The wide mouth lets citrus and spice aromas drift upward freely.
Best consumed fresh. Citrus and spice notes fade after 3–4 months. Drink within 6 months of packaging.
