Gin Wit

Tap to rate

One of the first recipes the sisters brewed, and they liked it so much that they kept brewing and refining it until creamy and fresh were in balance. This 6% witbier is made with the botanicals of gin, juniper berries, coriander seed and orange peel, hopped with Magnum and Cascade, and tastes of banana and orange. Full and creamy in the body.

◎ Appearance

Pale straw yellow with excellent clarity and a fine, persistent white head. The carbonation is lively, creating a dense foam collar that clings to the glass with fine lacing. The body reads as full and creamy despite the pale, almost translucent hue.

◌ Aroma

Soft wheat malt provides a gentle, bready sweetness in the background. The gin botanicals emerge as cooling, slightly peppery top notes that frame the fruit.

◐ Taste

Banana and orange dominate the palate entry, supported by a creamy, smooth mouthfeel that fills the mouth with soft wheat character. Coriander and juniper add dry, herbal complexity mid-palate, while Magnum and Cascade hops provide restrained bitterness (15 IBU) and a gentle citrus counterpoint. The finish remains refreshing without becoming thin or sharp.

◑ Finish

Medium-length, warming finish with lingering orange and a subtle herbal-spice dryness. The aftertaste is clean and slightly peppery, inviting another sip.

Serve at 5–8°C

Serve cold to preserve the delicate citrus and spice aromas. Too warm and the yeast esters become heavy — too cold and the coriander disappears.

Witbier glass

The tall, slender wheat beer glass holds the full 50cl pour and shows off the hazy golden colour. The wide mouth lets citrus and spice aromas drift upward freely.

Best consumed fresh. Citrus and spice notes fade after 3–4 months. Drink within 6 months of packaging.
