Cloudwater DIPA

◎ Appearance

Pale golden hue with a light, hazy cast typical of the style. The head forms quickly and retains with good structure, leaving a fine lace pattern around the glass as it settles. Bright, active carbonation visible throughout, with a soft cloudiness that speaks to the beer's fresh character.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with tropical stone fruit—mango, papaya, and peach—layered beneath a clean, resinous hop presence. Citrus notes of orange peel and grapefruit emerge on closer inspection, while the malt base remains deliberately restrained, allowing the hop aromatics to dominate. No aggressive alcohol warmth; the profile feels inviting and balanced.

◐ Taste

Entry is smooth and juice-forward, with tropical and citrus flavors establishing themselves immediately without harshness. The mid-palate maintains this softness while a measured bitterness develops—present but not sharp, sitting around 80 IBUs in a controlled, well-integrated manner. Underlying malt sweetness provides body and prevents the beer from becoming one-dimensional.

◑ Finish

The finish is clean and moderately dry, with citrus and resin lingering gently on the palate. Refreshing rather than lingering, allowing the beer's drinkability to shine through.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
