Rode Toren

Tap to rate

A clear red-brown autumn bock, bottom-fermented at 6.5%, with caramel and dark malt on the nose, a malty palate and a subtle bitterness. Vienna and Munich malts and Hallertau hops make it a warming beer for the cold months, brewed since 2008. It is named after Utrecht's medieval prison tower of red stones, where smugglers who dodged the beer excise were locked up.
