Uttendorf Weißbier Dunkel
A slight note of banana and the scent of yeast greet the nose; the banana carries on into the taste. Full-bodied and tingling, it ends with only a little hop bitterness. Josef Schmerold took over the brewery in 1835 and Dominik Gerner in 1873; Gerner was elected mayor of Uttendorf in 1876. The brewery now turns out about 19,000 hectolitres a year.
