Uttendorf Export

Tap to rate

Hoppy on the nose with a faint hint of a fermentation cellar, then hops and a very early bitterness on the tongue. Slim in body with low carbonation, it finishes in a lingering hop bitterness. On 4 June 1835 the whole market of Uttendorf burned down, brewery included; stones from the castle ruin helped rebuild it.

◐ Taste

Bitterness arrives early on the palate, crisp and direct. The body is slim and lean, allowing the hop bitterness to dominate without heaviness. Malt sweetness remains minimal, serving chiefly as a backdrop to the assertive, lingering bitterness that defines the mid-palate and development.
