🌍 United States · Wild Ale · One of 19 Wild Ales in hopIQ

Fox Leap is a fruited wild ale that takes nearly two years to make. A Belgian-style quadrupel and a sour blonde ale mature for about eighteen months in large oak foudres, are blended and then rest for three months on locally grown Balaton and Montmorency cherries. It glows orange-red with a pink-tinged head. Tart cherry and cherry jam lead, over malty notes of dried fruit and toffee from dark candi sugar and molasses, with oak, almond, lemon peel and a light funk, ending balanced, tart and dry.
