Beers similar to Newstead

hopIQ found 10 beers that share Newstead's malty and caramel character. Newstead Draught was the brewery's first extra special bitter and sits far from the hazy end of the catalogue. A combination of classic English malts gives a rich amber colour and a malt-forward body. Caramel and toffee lead the aroma, giving way to a subtle yeast ester and a lightly fruity hop note. The palate coats at medium weight with toasted rye and a hint of citrus, and the finish sets a measured bitterness against the grain.
