Beers similar to Floreffe Prima Melior

hopIQ found 9 beers that share Floreffe Prima Melior's roasted and spicy character. Almost black under a brown head, Floreffe Prima Melior is bottle-refermented in the abbey beer tradition. The nose combines aniseed, liquorice, roast aromas and white fruits; the flavour brings coffee and grilled cocoa bean against the slightly acrid background of roasted malts. It is warm but not liquor-like, with a long, noticeably acidic finish at 8 %. With age, the aniseed gives way to woody, almost maderised notes.
