Beers similar to Caffrey's Black Stout

hopIQ found 10 beers with the same roasted and chocolate character as Caffrey's Black Stout. Caffrey's Black Stout joined the brand in 2026 as a nitrogenated draught beer for pubs, a nod to Thomas Caffrey, whose Belfast brewery concentrated on stout and porter. Roasted malt and cocoa dominate, backed by caramel, a gentle bitterness and a hint of liquorice. The hops stay in the background and let the malt lead. Nitrogen gives a silky, velvety texture that coats the palate without heaviness. At 3.4% it is lighter than most stouts of its kind. Ranked by flavour match rather than popularity.
