◎ Aussehen

Dark amber in colour, clear and well-defined, with a dense white head that settles into fine lacing along the glass. The soft carbonation produces a steady stream of small bubbles, lending the beer a composed and refined visual presence characteristic of Belgian abbey brewing.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with rich malty sweetness, layered with gentle caramel and brown sugar notes. The Saint Sixtus yeast contributes a delicate spice—hints of clove and light herbal character—while dark fruit undertones suggest dried plum and raisin, creating a complex yet balanced aromatic profile.

◐ Geschmack

The palate is smooth and approachable, leading with biscuity-malty character and pronounced caramel. Mid-palate develops toasted and lightly nutty notes with a whisper of spice, while dark fruit provides subtle depth. The modest bitterness (22 IBU) remains restrained, allowing the malt backbone and yeast-derived spice to drive the flavour.

The finish is clean and gently drying, with lingering caramel and brown sugar fading to a soft, subtle spiced aftertaste. The medium body and gentle carbonation create an inviting, easy-drinking conclusion.
