Knowledge presents a pale golden color with moderate clarity and a fine, persistent head that builds quickly under the tap. Carbonation is crisp and visible, with good Schaumhaftung that clings to the glass in delicate lacing as you drink. The body appears full and substantial, befitting an 8.5% Imperial IPA.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with prominent resinous pine and dank herbal notes that dominate the top registers, backed by sharp citrus—particularly grapefruit pith—that cuts through with brightness. Beneath the hop character, subtle Malz sweetness and light alcohol warmth round out the bouquet without overwhelming the aggressive hop profile.

◐ Geschmack

The palate enters with assertive bitterness and a resinous hop bite that coats the mouth with leafy, piney tones and lingering citrus zest. Mid-palate reveals a full body with moderate Malz backbone that supports the hops rather than competing with them; the 80 IBU lands cleanly without harshness. Slight alcohol warmth (8.5% ABV) surfaces in the development but remains well-integrated.

The finish is long and dry, with lingering resinous and piney notes that fade gradually into a subtle grapefruit dryness. Alcohol warmth persists lightly on the back of the throat without becoming hot or unpleasant.
