Deep mahogany brown with copper highlights, showing excellent clarity beneath a dense, tan head that holds firm and laces the glass with each sip. The viscosity is evident in the slow descent of legs along the bowl, suggesting considerable body and alcohol content. Carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, creating a composed rather than effervescent presentation.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with pronounced toasted oak and subtle beechwood smoke, framing rich dried-fruit notes of raisin and fig. Beneath lies a sweet maltiness tinged with toffee and maple, while the high alcohol warming gently through the nostrils adds a spicy complexity. The barrel aging is evident throughout, contributing layers of vanilla and a faint leather undertone.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is smooth and full, with caramel and dark-fruit character building immediately on the palate. Mid-palate reveals the oak structure prominently—a sturdy framework of vanilla, char, and subtle smoke—balanced by malty sweetness and ripe stone fruits. The bitterness is restrained at 20 IBU, allowing the boozy warmth and creamy malt body to dominate, with only a gentle herbal dryness in the background.

The finish is long and warming, with oak, smoke, and toffee lingering gracefully across the palate. A dry, slightly peppery aftertaste emerges as the alcohol builds, leaving behind a pleasant, sustained sweetness reminiscent of maple and aged wood.
