In April 2019, Stone Brewing announced it was selling the Berlin operation to Scottish brewer BrewDog after the roughly $30-million venture failed to achieve the volume required to be financially sustainable. BrewDog took formal ownership on 1 May 2019; Stone Brewing Berlin is therefore closed and no longer operational.
