Today it is Hamburg's largest owner-operated brewery, brewing with barley grown on its own cooperative farm on Rügen since 2022. The only brewery in northern Germany certified by Slow Brewing. The Altes Mädchen brewpub, Ratsherrn Bar and Dolden Mädel bars make it a Hamburg institution.
