The brewery is known for colourful label design and hop-forward and experimental beers such as Mannenliefde, Thai Thai, and Gaia. Heineken took a minority stake in 2019 and acquired the remaining shares in June 2023, making Oedipus a wholly owned Heineken subsidiary while allowing it to retain its brand identity.
