Füchschen is a family-owned house brewery on Ratinger Straße in Düsseldorf's Old Town, where an alehouse 'in the little fox' is documented as early as 1640. The name Füchschen Alt dates from 1848. Theodor and Louise König bought the brewery in 1908, and the family still runs it in the fourth generation, led by Peter König jun. since 1995. After the building was destroyed in the Second World War it was rebuilt and extended onto neighbouring plots. Beside the Altbier, fermented with the house's own yeast strain, a Pils has been brewed since 2017.
