Founded on 22 December 1904 by brothers Tomás and Roberto Osborne in Seville. Named after the Cruz del Campo, the plot of land where the original brewery stood. In 1904 the brewery discovered a unique yeast strain that gives Cruzcampo its characteristic smooth bitterness, herbal and fruity aroma — still used today. Brewed chilled and unpasteurized, served at -2°C without excess foam. Acquired by Heineken in 2000. Spain's most historically significant Andalusian lager.
