Brauerei Roppelt is a small family brewery with an inn and a large beer cellar in Stiebarlimbach, a village in the Aischgrund in Upper Franconia. Brewmaster Franz Roppelt brews to the Bavarian Purity Law, sourcing raw materials from regional farmers where possible, and gives the beers a long lagering before they are poured at the inn and at the cellar below the Kreuzberg. The brewery is one of the few in Franconia that still keeps the house-brewer tradition: every fortnight, young beer is filled into customers' own kegs to finish maturing at home.
