Brauerei C. Wittmann is a family-owned private brewery located in the Achdorf district of Landshut in Lower Bavaria. The Wittmann family's brewing history dates to 1832 when Michael and Anna Wittmann purchased the Landshut brewery 'Zum Heiß', and in 1862 they acquired the neighbouring 'Zum Dräxlmair' brewery, whose own roots trace to 1616. The brewery relocated from the city centre to its current site in 1905–06. Now run by the fifth generation of the Wittmann family, it is regarded as one of the most respected private breweries in Bavaria.
