🌍 Australia · Hazy Pale Ale · One of 42 Hazy Pale Ales in hopIQ

A hazy pale ale brewed with pale malt, oats, wheat and caramalt and hopped with Amarillo, BRU-1 and El Dorado. The body is light and the bitterness minimal. Orange dominates the aroma, and the palate reads like fruit punch, with pineapple and tropical fruit carried by a soft, lightly sweet malt base through to a smooth finish. Until the 2023 range update it was sold as a conventional pale ale before being reworked as a hazy pale.

Aroma

Orange peel and citrus dominate the nose, supported by bright tropical fruit notes of pineapple and guava. A soft, lightly sweet Malz undertone provides balance without overshadowing the hop-driven character. The overall impression is clean and inviting, with no harsh or oxidised elements.

Taste

The palate opens with an immediate fruit-punch character—pineapple and tropical stone fruit meld seamlessly with the pale Malz foundation. Bitterness remains minimal, allowing the Amarillo, BRU-1 and El Dorado hops to express their fruity facets rather than resinous or herbal qualities. A gentle, lightly sweet malt backbone carries through the mid-palate without heaviness.

Finish

Clean and smooth, with the fruity character fading gracefully into a dry, slightly sweet denouement. No sharp edges or lingering harshness; the finish invites another sip.
