Tasting Notes

AI-generated sensory profile for Ireland's Call

◎ Appearance

Deep garnet-black pour with a dense, tan head that adheres persistently to the glass in fine lacing. The body is opaque and glossy, the result of nitrogen carbonation that produces smaller, more stable bubbles than CO₂ alone. Moderate carbonation creates a soft, creamy visual texture characteristic of the style.

◌ Aroma

Roasted barley and dark chocolate dominate the nose, followed by pronounced coffee aromatics with hints of cocoa powder. The Cascade hops contribute subtle citrus and herbal undertones that brighten without overtaking the malt-forward profile. Clean fermentation from Nottingham yeast allows the roasted character to remain in sharp focus.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with rich chocolate and coffee flavors that build through the mid-section, supported by a creamy mouthfeel from the nitrogen conditioning. Moderate bitterness (55 IBU) arrives cleanly on the finish without harshness, balancing the sweetness of dark Malz. At 4.4% ABV, the beer drinks with surprising ease despite its full-bodied character.

◑ Finish

The finish is dry and fading, with residual roasted notes lingering on the palate for several seconds. A light bitterness and subtle coffee dryness persist without astringency.
