Toewijding

Netherlands·Belgian Blonde Ale
Tap to rate

Spicy yeast and a fresh, fruity twist from American Belma hops define this Belgian-style blonde, the first blond beer Van Moll ever made. Toewijding was also first to reach bottles, in 2014. Pils, biscuit and wheat malts plus oat flakes meet Northern Brewer, East Kent Golding and Belma: 6.5%, 31 IBU, blond. Brewed with dedication and an inventive stubborn streak.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with prominent spicy phenolic notes from the Belgian yeast, layered with fresh, fruity esters that suggest white stone fruit and light citrus from the Belma hops. Beneath this lies a gentle biscuit and wheaten maltiness, grounding the aroma in bready, grain-forward character without overwhelming the hop-driven top notes.
