🌍 Australia · Pale Ale · One of 155 Pale Ales in hopIQ

The second release in the all-Australian hop series, carried by Eclipse and Vic Secret. The malt bill is deliberately thin, which leaves mandarin, pineapple and juicy citrus with nothing to compete against; the aroma is broad and the palate follows it closely. The body is fuller than the light malt would suggest, and a moderate bitterness runs into a dry close. Launched as a limited edition, it has since been kept on in the core range.

Taste

Entry is juicy and citrus-forward, with the thin malt bill allowing the hop character to develop openly across the palate. Flavors of orange and tropical fruit carry through the mid-palate, balanced by a moderate bitterness that doesn't overwhelm. The body is fuller than the restrained malt suggests, providing structure and weight despite the deliberate brewing choice.

Refrigerate, then rest 2 min

Cold enough to sharpen the hop aroma without numbing the palate. Around 7–9°C keeps the citrus and pine vivid without losing bitterness definition.
