Simple Things Smoked Rye Porter
A porter that joins chocolatey, roasty dark grains with rye spice and a wisp of smoke. Smoked malt from Bamberg leads the grain bill, alongside rye, oats, brown and chocolate malts. Smooth chocolate and dry, roasty coffee come first and give way to an earthy beechwood smoke. The mouthfeel is full and velvety, and the finish lingers with a peppery note. At 6.0 % it is a beer for cold months. First brewed as the second release of the Big Ideas Series and brought back as number 40.
