Red Racer Hazy IPA

◎ Appearance

Hazy golden-amber hue with substantial turbidity from suspended yeast and grain particles, giving the beer a cloudy, opaque character. A thick, creamy head forms at the pour and maintains moderate retention, with visible lacing clinging to the glass. Carbonation appears gentle and well-integrated, supporting the soft, cushioned mouthfeel.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with pronounced tropical and citrus fruit esters, showing ripe stone fruit and tangerine notes characteristic of the Krush hop variety. Beneath the fruit sits a subtle bready-grain bed from the pale malz base and oat-wheat adjuncts, adding soft sweetness without assertiveness. The overall impression is juicy and approachable, with minimal leafy or resinous hop character.

◐ Taste

Entry is smooth and creamy, with the oat and wheat malt delivering a velvety, full body that cushions the palate rather than drying it. Mid-palate develops fruity sweetness—stone fruit and citrus—balanced against a moderate, clean bitterness (45 IBU) that never dominates. The finish carries the fruit forward without harshness, the grain providing a gentle, slightly sweet backbone that prevents any astringency.

The finish is clean and soft, with bitterness fading quickly to leave a lingering fruity sweetness and faint grain note. No harsh edges or lingering harshness; the aftertaste remains approachable and moreish.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
