3031 IPA

Tap to rate

Bright grapefruit and peach up front, then piney, earthy notes in a full-bodied, easy-drinking IPA. It was brewed in Blanco as a pilot release for two Texas anniversaries: Real Ale's 30th and a partner's 31st. Classic C-hops meet newer varieties, among them Audacia. It came off the 8-barrel pilot system, so batches stay small. 6.5% ABV.

◐ Taste

Full-bodied and smooth-drinking from the first sip, the palate opens with citrus and peach brightness before transitioning to pronounced piney and resinous qualities in the mid-palate. Moderate bitterness integrates cleanly rather than asserting dominance, while the malt provides sufficient body without heaviness—a well-balanced expression that remains approachable.

◑ Finish

The finish is clean and medium in length, with lingering resinous and piney notes fading gracefully into a subtle earthiness. Bitterness resolves smoothly without astringency, leaving a dry, refreshing aftertaste.

Serve at 8–11°C

Serve well-chilled. Session IPAs are at their best cold — the lower ABV means less warmth to balance the hops.

Tulip glass

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.

Drink fresh. Session IPAs are brewed to be consumed young — the hops are at their best now.
