Pelicon Hazy IPA

◎ Appearance

A pale golden hue with pronounced haze throughout, characteristic of the New England IPA style. The beer presents a soft, pillowy white head that clings gently to the glass with modest retention. Fine carbonation creates an inviting, cloud-like appearance that speaks to the yeast-derived turbidity rather than any fault.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with ripe tropical fruit — papaya, mango, and passionfruit — delivered prominently by Citra and Mosaic hops. A secondary layer of citrus zest, particularly orange, weaves through without sharpness. The Edelhopfen character remains clean and juicy, with minimal malt backbone and no fermentative esters.

◐ Taste

The palate enters soft and rounded, with tropical fruit flavors unfolding across the mid-palate in a silky texture. Moderate bitterness arrives gradually at 50 IBU, playing a supporting role rather than dominating; citrus notes lengthen the perception without harsh edges. The finish remains smooth and integrated, avoiding any astringency typical of higher-IBU styles.

◑ Finish

The aftertaste trails off cleanly with lingering orange and citrus notes, maintaining a refreshing quality without drying the palate. A light, easygoing conclusion befits the 6.5% ABV.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
