Dorset Pale

Tap to rate

Hoppy and refreshing, with citrus and a hint of grapefruit on the nose from Citra aroma hops. Maris Otter and Munich malts form the base; the beer is filtered, lightly carbonated and served chilled, which makes this 4.0% keg session ale very drinkable. Palmers' first craft keg, it was launched for summer 2019 with its own 'Dorseteer' glass, wrapped in twelve hand-drawn local history images of Jurassic Coast landmarks.

Serve well-chilled. Session IPAs are at their best cold — the lower ABV means less warmth to balance the hops.

Tulip glass

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.

Drink fresh. Session IPAs are brewed to be consumed young — the hops are at their best now.

hopIQ matches by flavor profile — not just style label. A beer with the same hoppy, refreshing, citrusy character as Dorset Pale will score highly even if brewed in a different country or under a different sub-style name.
