Beam Blast

Tap to rate

Lime, gooseberry and juicy white grape burst out of the haze of this hazy IPA at 6% ABV. It is built on seven hits of Nelson Sauvin: mash, kettle, whirlpool, three dry hops in the tank and a final shot of hop oil in the bright beer tank. Moersleutel used three T90 lots, Cryo and CGX pellets and two types of hop oil.

IPAs are hop-forward ales with 5.5–7.5% ABV and IBU 40–70+. Bold hop aroma — citrus, tropical, resinous — with firm bitterness and a dry, clean finish.

hopIQ matches by flavor profile — not just style label. A beer with the same hazy, hoppy, citrusy character as Beam Blast will score highly even if brewed in a different country or under a different sub-style name.
