Meckatzer Urweizen

Tap to rate

The dark wheat beer of the range. Caramel malt and malt kilned long and hot give it a copper sheen; it is opaque under fine, beige foam. Bottle conditioning makes the first sip soft and lively. The top-fermenting yeast brings apple, citrus and yellow fruit – pineapple, peach and banana – before caramel and toffee take over in the finish, on a firm malt body. Original gravity is 12.5 °P, bitterness 20 units.
