American Gordic

Tap to rate

American Gordic is a pumpkin stout from Laughing Sun, brewed for the season of the witch. It was the first beer of the brewery's Brewer's series, created with one of the brewers. Irish ale yeast and roasted barley give an earthy, dry finish, while smoked pumpkin and a selection of spices bring the feeling of backyard bonfires and spooky festivities.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with roasted malt and a pronounced earthy dryness that frames the beer's backbone. Smoked pumpkin and spice integrate smoothly through the mid-palate, with chocolate and mild coffee notes adding depth without sweetness. Bitterness is restrained at 20 IBU, allowing the roasted and spiced character to dominate; the finish remains dry and slightly grainy.
