Jarošovský Matúš 12%

Czech Republic·Czech Premium Pale Lager
Tap to rate

A ležák brewed the Slovácko way: unfiltered, unpasteurised, from local water, pale malt from the Kroměříž maltings and a little caramel malt from the Záhlinice floor maltings, decoction-mashed with two mashes. It is hopped four times, the last time cold in the lager tank. The brewery describes a strong malt body balanced by a higher initial bitterness that gradually turns into a fine bitterness clinging to the palate, with a balanced hop aroma.

◐ Taste

Entry is full and malty, revealing the depth of the decoction mash and pale malt backbone, with gentle caramel sweetness. Mid-palate bitterness builds steadily, balancing the malt body without dominating—a clean, articulate bitterness that gradually refines into a lingering, fine bitterness clinging to the palate. The hop profile remains restrained, supporting rather than leading.
