Champion Mild

Tap to rate

First brewed in 2002, this dark mild was named Champion Beer of Britain in 2007 and has carried the title in its name since. Maris Otter, pale chocolate and crystal malts with Fuggles and Goldings hops produce roasted caramel, coffee and chocolate aromas and a nutty, smooth palate with more flavour than the low strength suggests. Bitterness is low, the finish soft and lightly roasty. On keg it is served with nitrogen for a creamier texture.
