Black Country Mild
A chestnut-red mild in the Black Country tradition, brewed with amber malt, caramalt and black malt and hopped with Fuggles. The brewery describes nutty, biscuity notes and a hint of chocolate; tasters add roasted grain, a little fruit and a gentle bitterness, with the malt clearly in the lead. At 3.7% the body stays light. It remains one of the four regular beers of the house, although mild as a style has become rare in British pubs.
