Heathen presents a pale golden hue with excellent clarity and a bright, inviting character. The head forms quickly and maintains good retention, leaving fine lines of lacing down the glass. Carbonation is brisk and visible, contributing to the beer's crisp visual presentation.

The nose is immediately dominated by assertive hop aromatics, with Citra and Mosaic delivering pronounced tropical fruit and citrus notes—think bright grapefruit, tangerine, and stone fruit. Centennial adds a subtle herbal and slightly piney backdrop, while clean malt provides a neutral foundation that allows the hops to shine without distraction.

The palate opens with a crisp, hop-driven entry that immediately establishes bitterness and citrus intensity. Mid-palate maintains the tropical fruit character with a dry, resinous quality that prevents sweetness from accumulating. The finish is clean and lean, with lingering bitterness and subtle fruit notes balanced by the beer's moderate alcohol and restrained body.
