🌍 Germany · Amber Lager · One of 41 Amber Lagers in hopIQ

Brewed since the brewery's 140th anniversary in 2012, this beer revives a recipe made in 1899 with the permission of the Prince of Stolberg-Wernigerode for his own household and guests. Special malts give it a garnet-red colour and, in the brewery's words, a full body and roasty character. The nose brings caramel, honey and bready toast; the palate is malt-sweet with red berries and a hint of dried fruit, and roasted malt returns in a mild, softly bitter finish.
