Farm Hand Pale

Tap to rate

Farm Hand Pale draws on the Grisette, the light saison once brewed for farm workers, and turns the idea into a very dry English-style pale ale of 4.1%. Amarillo, Comet and Strata hops give it a herbaceous, citrus character. It was first brewed in autumn 2025 and has been on draught at the Hooper Street taproom and at the Engineer's House through summer 2026.

On the palate, citrus and herbal hop character dominate the entry, with a dry, mineral bite that builds toward the mid-palate. The malt backbone is modest but sufficient, lending a subtle sweetness that's quickly eclipsed by a crisp, lingering bitterness (35 IBU) that feels balanced rather than aggressive for the style.

Serve at 7–10°C

Cold enough to sharpen the hop aroma without numbing the palate. Around 7–9°C keeps the citrus and pine vivid without losing bitterness definition.
