🌍 Germany · Alcohol-Free Lager · One of 49 Alcohol-Free Lagers in hopIQ

The export alcohol-free Beck's, made by a different method from Beck's Blue: instead of removing ethanol from a finished beer, the brewers stop fermentation before it can form. As a result more of the wort's sweetness stays in the glass. It pours a light amber colour under a thick, full head. Bready, slightly sweet malt with a hint of caramel leads, supported by a balanced hop bitterness, and the body is fuller than the colour suggests. The finish is soft and malty.

Aroma

The nose leads with bready, grain-forward maltiness that recalls fresh bread crust and breakfast cereals. Soft caramel sweetness emerges from the wort's retained sugars, underpinned by a restrained herbal hop character that balances without dominating. Overall the aromatics remain clean and inviting, with no harsh fermentation notes.

Mid-palate reveals balanced hop bitterness that never becomes aggressive, with a gentle caramel undertone supporting the overall structure.
