Beers similar to Beck's Dark

Brauerei Beck & Co.

Dunkel·Germany·4.8% ABV·One of 116 Dunkels in hopIQ·

hopIQ found 10 beers that share Beck's Dark's roasted and malty character. The dark lager of the Beck's range, sold in the United States and brewed there for the American market. Despite its colour it is bottom-fermented rather than an ale; the brand credits the hue to specially roasted barley malt. It pours a deep copper to chestnut brown under a tan head. Toasted malt and caramel lead the nose, with a light roast and a hint of toffee. The palate is smooth and fuller than the pale Beck's, with notes of bread crust, soft cocoa and raisin over restrained hops, ending in a lingering, gently sweet finish.
