Bügel-Spez Premium Hell

Tap to rate

A well-integrated bitterness sits in balance with the malt body, and the aroma recalls a vaulted fermentation cellar; the foam is fine and long-lasting. Bügel-Spez is a premium beer in the Pilsner style, brewed with a particularly high share of malt, golden yellow, at 5.2% ABV and 12.5° Plato. The swing-top bottle behind the name was co-initiated in 1992 by Kurt Uster with other independent Swiss breweries, each filling it with its own beer.

A well-integrated noble hop bitterness rises in the mid-palate—crisp and balanced rather than aggressive—while the malt character remains composed and slightly sweet. The finish is dry and clean, leaving a lingering but restrained hop bite.
