Tap to rate

A golden cream ale crowned with the flavor of hand-toasted coconut: creamy, refreshing and slightly dry at 5.1 % and 20 IBU. It comes from the 10-barrel brewhaus in Waimea, on draft and in cans, and since August 2023 the brewery packages in locally made cans instead of imported bottles. Brewed in upcountry Waimea.

◐ Taste

The palate is creamy and full-bodied for the ABV, with the hand-toasted coconut providing a smooth, slightly sweet mid-palate character. A gentle dryness emerges in the development, balancing the inherent Malz sweetness and preventing cloying flavors. The 20 IBU bitterness is restrained and integrated, allowing the coconut and malt backbone to remain the focal points throughout.

The finish is clean and moderately dry, with the coconut note lingering softly on the palate without becoming harsh or overly woody. A slight warmth from the 5.1% ABV is perceptible but not intrusive, leaving the drinker with a refreshing sense of completion.
