Roast malts dominate the nose, offering dark chocolate and burnt caramel notes with an undercurrent of liquorice. Earthy tones round out the profile. Golding hops introduce a subtle herbal quality without asserting themselves, allowing the malt character to lead.

The palate opens with soft dark chocolate and caramel sweetness from the roasted malts, followed by a gentle earthy note and a whisper of liquorice. Bitterness is restrained at 24 IBU, with Golding hops providing a complementary herbal frame rather than sharp bite. The malt sweetness carries through without cloying.
