Aker Imperial IPA

◎ Appearance

Aker presents a pale golden hue with excellent clarity and a vibrant white head that demonstrates strong adhesion to the glass. Fine carbonation rises steadily through the body, creating a lively and inviting visual presence characteristic of the Imperial IPA style.

◌ Aroma

The nose is assertive and multi-layered, leading with bright citrus and pine from the ten-hop blend. Tropical fruit notes emerge alongside subtle orange zest, with a herbal undertone that grounds the composition without softening its intensity.

◐ Taste

Entry is bold and hop-driven, with immediate citrus and tropical fruit expression developing across the mid-palate. Significant bitterness—characteristic of the 120 IBU charge—builds steadily without becoming harsh, supported by a clean malt backbone that provides structure without sweetness. The 9% alcohol sits integrated, warming the finish with a slight boozy character.

◑ Finish

The finish is long and dry, with hop bitterness persisting into the aftertaste alongside lingering citrus and pine notes. No residual sweetness remains—the beer closes clean and uncompromising.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
